Matthew 11, 28-30:
“Jesus exclaimed: Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and you will find your rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden light”.
We all have bad moments throughout life.
We feel the tiredness, stress, – that at times it seems we are sinking -, sickness, sadness, loneliness…
And how much the family support or the hand of the friend is appreciated at these times
Jesus invites us to go to meet them in these moments of tiredness and stress.
Find it in prayer, in the Eucharist, in the sacrament of forgiveness, in the Word… Look for it in others as well, because at the same time as you find rest and comfort for yourself, you will also be rest and comfort for others.
And to the extent that you are for others you will also find comfort and relief for yourself.
