Serving the Word: Mt 1, 16.18-21.24a

Matthew 1, 16.18-21.24a:
“When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had told him to do”.

In the middle of the Lenten desert today we celebrate the Solemnity of St Joseph, husband of the Virgin Mary.
Joseph teaches us to allow ourselves to be led by God.
A man of deep faith, he accepted the plans of the Lord and renouncing his own.
He knew how to change his own project of life for the project that God was asking of him.
When the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and revealed to him that he would be the legal father of the child that Mary was carrying in her womb, he let it be done by God.
He believed in the Word of the Lord and did as he was commanded by the angel.
Pray today with St. Joseph and ask for his deep and intense faith.
Ask also to know how to change course when God asks for it.
And finally ask for the holiness of this righteous and holy man. Congratulations to all of the Josephs, Josephines, Joes and Jos.
Good day.
