Serving the Word: Mk 8: 27-33

THURSDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2020

Mark 8, 27-33:
“And who do you say that I am?”

Who do you say Jesus is?
To tell others who Jesus is, you have to be clear about who Jesus is for you.
And this question cannot be answered only by reason, but above all by the heart and by your life.
Until Jesus ceases to be a simple idea in your head and becomes the person who rules and moves your life, your actions, your feeling and your thinking, you cannot answer who Jesus is for you and you cannot say who Jesus is to others.
Nor will you be able to answer that question until you embrace the cross: “Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.
When your life is a following of Jesus with your cross and the cross of others on your back you will be knowing Jesus from the heart and you will be telling yourself and others who Jesus is.
Good day.
