Serving the Word: Mk 7: 14-23

WEDNESDAY 12 FEBRUARY

Mark 7, 14-23:
“That which comes out of the heart defiles a man. For out of the heart of man come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, covetousness, injustice, fraud, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, frivolity. All of these evils come from within and make a man impure.

Today’s Gospel continues with the same theme of yesterday.
That is why I invite you to read again the commentary we made yesterday.
We usually say that the mouth speaks of the abundance of the heart.
It is also true that what leads us to adopt a certain behaviour or to carry out certain actions is what we carry in our heart.
And we also tend to say that what is effective is what is affective.
Worry about filling your heart with all that is good.
Fill your interior with everything that leads you to serve more and better, to work more and better for others, to meet God more and better.
Fill your heart with everything that leads you to act out of love and to seek the good of others.
Good day.
