Serving the Word: Mk 7, 1-13

Mark 7, 1-13:
“This people honours me only with lip-service, while their hearts are far from me.”

Once again, Jesus wants you to look profoundly at yourself not to fall into the sin of the Pharisees and teachers of the law.
They thought that with the external observation of some rites and with recite some prayers mechanically would be enough.
And looked suspiciously at those who, for any reason, broke some of these precepts.
They did not realize that good and evil resides in the heart of every human being.
If the heart is healthy good words, good feelings and good deeds will sprout from it.But if the heart is rotten everything that comes from it will be rubbish.
Revitalize your heart so that everything that comes from it will be life and life in abundance.
The best medicine and vitamins for your heart is prayer and the sacraments.
Good day
