Serving the Word: Mk 4: 1-20

Mark 4, 1-20:
“A sower went out to sow….Some fell on the edge of the path…..Some fell on rocky ground…..Some fell into thorns…..Some fell into rich soil”

When I read, meditate and pray with this parable, I feel I can identify with all the types of soil into which the seed of the Word falls.
I identify with the edge of the path, with the rocky ground, with the field full of thorns and also with the rich soil.
I believe this is normal because we all have something of all of them.
But I also believe that what is important is that the rich soil gains ground from all the other types.
And this is the task of each day: to get rid of roughness, get rid of rocks and get rid of thorns and prickles so that the Word of God grows and bears fruit in us each day with more strength and vigour.
Work today with determination that your rich soil covers more square metres each day.
My wish for you is that today your rich soil produces much.
Good day.
