Mark 8, 11-13:
“The Pharisees came up and started a discussion with Jesus; they demanded of him a sign from heaven”.
How many times we too demand from God proof of his existence, his closeness, of his presence, his love…
And we demand the proofs that we want: that I do well in a business deal, that he cures a disease, that a particular problem is resolved, etc.
We do not realize that God is always there giving us signs of his presence and his love.
But we have to know how to capture those signs.
You have to open our heart to the wonders and gifts that the Lord places before us and puts into our hands every day.
Ask the Lord today for the sensitivity needed to know how to interpret and capture the signs and the continuing evidence of his love.
