Serving the word: Mc 6, 30-34

Mark 6, 30-34
“You must come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while… Jesus saw a large crowd and took pity on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them at some length.”

In the Gospel we have proposed today two very human traits of Jesus:
1: Jesus invites you to rest. He understands that the apostles returned tired and in need of repair their strength.
It is not all work and effort. We also need space, rest and quiet and restorative relaxation.
2: Jesus feels compassion for those who seek him like sheep without a shepherd. And he has no hurry to give them what they were seeking and they are in great need of.
He began to teach them many things and taught them at great length.
You also rest as far as you can.
Don’t put off work, occupations, of everything that takes away peace, calm and harmony in your life.
In order to be able to continue serving more and better and to continue moving forward we need, from time to time, to stop at an “oasis”.
In the middle of your occupations, do not rush to take care of people. Don’t fret, do not be impatient.
Try to implement this teaching that Jesus gives us today
Good day.
