Serving the Word: Mk 6: 1-6

Mark 6, 1-6:
“He could work no miracle there, though he cured a few sick people by laying his hands on them. He was amazed at their lack of faith. He went to the neighbouring towns to teach them”.

It is difficult for us to accept Jesus in his simplicity and from his humility. We like to see him more with haloes, cloaks and clouds than with a saw or a hoe in his hands.
This happened as well with his fellow countrymen who saw him work with his hands in the workshop of St. Joseph.
This did not explain neither his wisdom nor his miracles.
God is not able to act through toughened hands.
It was scandalous for them that one of their own did what he was doing and saying what he was saying.
Don’t look for God in extraordinary things. Seek God in the ordinary things of life.
In the most every day, common and ordinary He is going to find you and you are going to find him.
Attempt to discover him today in the normality of your day.
Good day.
