Serving the Word: Mk 3: 7-12

Mark 3, 7-12:
“Jesus withdrew to the lakeside with his disciples and great crowds from Galilee followed him. From Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, Transjordania and theregion of Tyre and Sidon, great numbers who had heard of all he was doing came to him. And he asked the disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, to keep him from being crushed”.

Why were so many people looking for Jesus?
+ Because they all felt his healing and salvific power.
+ Because they wanted to feel his love and closeness.
+ Because they knew that Jesus was interested in people and that people were interested in him.
+ Because, as Pope Francis would say, Jesus wanted “to smell like the sheep”.
Today, also, we all need the closeness and love of Jesus.
Also, we all need his healing, his curative force and his saving power.
Don’t stop from getting close to Jesus and touching him for his grace is transmitted to your life.
You come close and touch him in prayer, in the Eucharist, in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
And be aware that if you are united to Jesus, through you will also pass to many others the strength, grace, forgiveness, joy and salvation of Jesus
Work to be united to him.
In Jesus you will find LIFE and from Him you will also be able to transmit LIFE in capitals.
Good Day
