Serving the Word: Mark 10: 13-16

Mark 10, 13-16:
“Let the little children come to me: do not stop them; for it is to such of these that the Kingdom of God belongs. I tell you solemnly, anyone who does not welcome the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it”.

How many times does the Gospel speaks to us about humility, of the little things, of the insignificant, of what does not count in the eyes of the world.
It speaks to us of the yeast, the mustard seed, the simplicity needed in order to enter the Kingdom of God.
And to get closer to Jesus we need a simple and small heart, like the heart of a child.
We will never understand the sentiments of Jesus if we do not welcome his words with the faith and confidence that springs from the simplicity of a heart that does not considered itself to be important but a heart that knows it to be small and in need of God and of others.
Seeks to make yourself always small. God rejects the proud of heart and accepts the humble of heart.
With that small and humble heart, you will contribute to the “revolution of tenderness” to which Jesus invites us and of which our world is in so much need.
Good day.
