Serving the Word: Lk 7: 36-50

Luke 7, 36-50:
“Her many sins are forgiven because she has loved much”.

Twp prototype personages appear in this gospel:
A Pharisee of irreproachable conduct and a woman of questionable character.
■ A pharisee who is above everything and who knows everything and who becomes a judge over everything and everyone.
He is a person full of laws, rules and judgments, but empty of love and closeness.
■ A woman at the feet of Jesus who is crying, covering his feet with kisses, who bathes them with tears and anoints them with perfume.
She is a person who is empty of herself and full of love.
And she is the person that Jesus takes sides with.
She is the person that opens herself to the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus.
Today, look for a moment and put yourself at the feet of Jesus so that He empties you of all pharisaical traits and fills you with his infinite mercy, with his infinite love and with his infinite forgiveness.
Enjoy the day that God gives you.
Good day.
