Serving the Word: Lk 5: 27-32

SATURDAY 29TH FEBRUARY

Luke 5, 27-32:
“Jesus saw a publican named Levi sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, ‘Follow me. He left everything and got up and followed him”.

We all have our “tax counter”. We sit at it and from there we take our toll on everyone, because we believe that everyone is our debtor. Jesus today teaches us to get up and leave our “tax counter” to follow him.
Stop believing that everyone owes you and should be grateful to you.
The important thing is to follow Jesus and to leave our “taxes” for others.
Like Levi, offer a “banquet” in which gratuity and gratitude are served without measure.
And may this banquet last you every day. You will surely feel happy because in this way Jesus will also sit at your table and multiply more and more what you give freely and gratefully.
Good day.
