Serving the Word: Lk 5: 25-32

 Luke 5, 27-32:
“Jesus noticed a tax collector, Levi by name, sitting by the customs house and said to him: “FOLLOW ME”. And, leaving everything, he got up and followed him”.

We all have our “customs house”. We sit there and from there we send out invoices to everybody, because we believe that everyone is our debtor. Jesus today teaches us to stand up and leave our ‘custom house’ to follow him.
Stop believing that everybody owes you and should be thankful to you.
The important thing is to follow Jesus and to go leaving our “taxes” with others.
Like Levi, he also offers you a “banquet” in which he serves without measure generosity and appreciation.
And that this feast lasts you every day. You will surely feel happy because in this way Jesus will also sit at your table and multiply a hundredfold everything that you give free of charge and in thankfulness.
Good day.
