Serving the Word: Lk 4: 24-30

MONDAY 16 MARCH 2020

Luke 4, 24-30:
“No prophet is respected in his own country.”

We have all been born and are living in the “land of Jesus”:
Since childhood we have heard about Him. We have attended catechesis. We usually dedicate some time to prayer and we also often participate in the Eucharist.
That is why I say that we are in “Jesus’ land”.
But we are in danger of becoming so accustomed to Him that, being his ” fellow countrymen “, we do not pay any attention to him and are not aware of his presence. It can happen that we do not accept that He can speak to us through people, circumstances, daily situations and events…
Ask the Lord today to open your eyes wide so that you can see him every day in people and events and that you can also be amazed at the daily wonders that he is continually doing with you and with everyone.
Good day.
