Serving the Word: Lk 24: 35-48

Luke 24, 35-48:
“You are witnesses to this.”

In order to be witnesses of something it is necessary to have seen, heard, experienced what you are witnessing to.
The first disciples of Jesus saw, heard, touched and experienced his risen presence.
We are to be people who personally encounter Jesus in prayer, in the sacraments and in His Word.
We must be people who feel his wounds in the sores of his sisters and brothers, in their sufferings and pains.
We must also be people who feel the joy of his presence and to transmit that joy to others.
We are the current witnesses to the new life that the Risen Jesus brings us.
With the strength that Jesus gives you, don’t be afraid to be his witness in the world today.
Good day.
