Serving the Word: Lk 11: 42-46

Luke 11, 42-46:
“Woe to you Pharisees, you pay the tithe of mint, of the rue and all kinds of garden herbs, while neglecting justice and the love of God!. Woe unto you, you are like unmarked tombs, that people walk over without knowing it!”.

Just like the scribes and the Pharisees, we too are inconsistent when we observe scrupulously the small details, which certainly have importance, and yet set aside fundamental things like justice, mercy and faithfulness.
That is why today, Jesus reminds us not to forget what is essential.
And he also reminds us to take great care of our interior that is more important than our image.
He reminds us of our sins of omission and encourages us to act always well and to do what God expects of us.
To take into account what is fundamental and essential and take up our task from today.
We still have a lot to do and a long way to go.
Courage!. To take care of the interior, the heart and soul.
Yours and that of others. Good day.
