Serving the Word: Lk 10: 38-42

Luke 10, 38-42:
“Mary, sitting at the feet of the Lord, listened to his Word… Martha, Martha, you worry and fret about so many things; only one is needed”.

There are days that when we get up and think about the day’s agenda, we begin to feel inundated by the appointments and tasks that await us.
Things to do, things to do, things to do.
And it is possible that among everything to be done we have no time to sit quietly and listen, meditate and pray the Word of Jesus.
That makes it difficult to imitate Mary, “Sitting at the feet of the Lord, she listened to his Word”.
Perhaps the Lord has to say to us from time to time that “we worry and fret about so many things, and yet, only one is needed”.
Ask the Lord to help you choose the “best part” like Mary.
Do not doubt that the “best part” is to be with the Lord, listening to his words.
That part nobody will take from you.
Good day.
