Serving the Word: Lk 1: 67-79

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24TH

Luke 1, 67-79:
“Through the tender mercy of our God, the sun that rises from on high will visit us, to enlighten those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our steps along the path of peace.

God never forgets us. He continually and constantly visits his people. He becomes man and saves us. He enlightens us and guides us along paths of peace.
With Jesus, the Sun that rises from on high, a new life comes to us.
God manifests himself as man to bring a message of peace to the world and to open for us the gates of heaven.
Ask the Lord to live these days of Christmas with intensity and may his coming console us and strengthen those who hope in him.
O Emmanuel, God with us, Saviour of the nations, hope of the peoples, come and free us, Lord, do not delay. Come quickly, Lord! Come, Saviour!
Have a good Christmas Eve and don’t forget to pray to the Lord for all those people for whom Christmas Eve is not going to be so good.
Good day.
