John 8, 12-20:
“I am the light of the world; anyone who follows me will not be walking in the dark; he will have the light of life”.
Jesus in the Gospel of John is presenting us with his identity and mission: “I am the TRUTH, I am the WAY, I am the LIFE, I am the DOOR, I am the GOOD SHEPHERD, I am the LIVING BREAD, I am the TRUE VINE…
And today he tells us, “I AM THE LIGHT.
How many times in our journey through life do we need to have light! We want to see clearly! How many times do we walk in darkness stumbling along without knowing where we are nor where we are going!
Go to Jesus. He will illuminate all your darkness. He will make light in your life and you will see clearly what God is asking of you and what you, as a follower of his, have to do to be happy and make people happy around you.
