Serving the Word: John 6: 22-29

John 6, 22-29:
“Do not work for food that cannot last, but work for the food that endures to eternal life, the kind of food the Son of Man is offering you.”

God does not want us to worry about material things.
He has given us an intelligence and has given us other gifts so that we can provide for ourselves food, clothing, and alsolive a dignified life.
But there are times we work more for the food that does not last than for the food that endures for eternal life.
Jesus himself tells us that, above all, let us seek the Kingdom of God and his justice and everything else we will be given in addition.
But often we seek, first and foremost, the additions and neglect what is essential and what is really important.
We fail to understand that the only source that can satisfy all the hunger and quench the thirst of the world and also all types of hunger and thirst, is the wellspring of love that Jesus taught us with his life and his word.
Try to work today for this food that gives eternal life to you and to all of humanity.
Good day.
