John 16, 16-20:
“But your sorrow will turn to joy”.
In today’s Gospel Jesus is talking about his impending death to his disciples.
He predicts that they will weep and lament his absence.
But he also promises them that their sorrow will change into joy.
We sometimes feel the absence of Jesus. It seems that he goes away from our side…
And we feel the sadness, fatigue, the darkness and abandonment.
There are moments when neither faith nor hope can leave us.
Jesus is always there, although sometimes the darkness conceals the light.
Never doubt that any sadness placed in the hands of Jesus will become joy.
Put today into his hands your sorrows and the sadness of everyone so that he raises them in joy.
Good day.
