Serving the Word: John 13: 1-15

John 13, 1-15:
“If I then, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you should wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you.”

We begin the Passover of the Lord.
Today, Maundy Thursday, we are invited to take into account four key aspects of our Christian life:
1: The institution of the Eucharist: participate today in the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Try also to be for a while with the Lord present in the “monument”.
2: The Washing of the feet: the follower of Jesus is a person in service. It is a person kneeling before others and always with a towel at the ready.
3: Jesus gives us the New Commandment, which is “His commandment”: “Love one another as I have loved you”.
4: Institution of the Priesthood: pray earnestly today for all priests and entrust them to the Lord.
Good day.
