Serving the Word: John 11: 45-57

John 11, 45-57:
“It is better for one man to die for the people… And from that day they were determined to kill him.”

With every day that passes the confrontation between Jesus and the leaders of the people becomes more tense.
The high priests and Pharisees cannot withstand that Jesus puts the person above the law, to speak of God as Father, who broke the sabbath to serve the needy… and many other things.
The life and teachings of Jesus are not in line with their lives and their teachings and therefore they decide to put him to death.
It is also what we sometimes do: we remove Jesus from the centre of our lives when his Gospel is not in line with our interests. When we take from the Gospel what suits us and eliminate what we do not like or when it asks of us something we are not willing to give.
Opt and choose bravely for Jesus. He brings you peace, joy and happiness.
Stop at times throughout today and ask yourself how you will live this coming Holy Week.
Good day.
