John 10, 31-42:
“Jesus replied: Even if you refuse to believe in me, at least believe in the work I do; then you will know for sure that the Father is in me and I am in the Father”.
Jesus himself said that they will know us by the fruits we produce, because a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Today we talk a lot about giving witness and it is difficult to believe someone who does not endorse with their deeds what they say or preach with their mouth.
But here are the works of Jesus supporting his message: he welcomes everybody, cures diseases, guides the undecided, enlightens consciences, offers and sows peace, comforts all who are sad…
That is why he can claim his deeds are an expression of who he himself is.
Today ask the Lord for consistency in your life. Live what you proclaim and proclaim what you live. That your deeds and words may always be in harmony and consonance.
