MONDAY 9th JANUARY 2023
Mark 1, 14-20:
“Come with me and I will make you fishers of men… immediately they left their nets and followed him”.
The preaching of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark begins with an invitation to follow and to conversion, to change our mentality and our life by following him.
He invites us to steep ourselves in the Gospel because to the extent that the Gospel is our norm of life, this life of ours will change.
As the lives of these first followers of Jesus changed: from fishermen of fish they became fishers of people.
Let Jesus make you a “fisher of people” and send you out to the “seas of the world” to fish.
Ask the Lord today for the strength to leave your “nets”, to leave everything that entangles you and prevents you from following him.
Let your life be more and more transparent of the Gospel every day.
