SATURDAY 9th DECEMBER 2023
Matthew 9, 35-10, 1. 5a. 6-8
“Jesus went about all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness.”
+ How are you preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom?
+ What sicknesses and diseases are you willing to heal and cure in these days of Advent?
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were worn out and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd”:
+ Are you willing and ready to care for people who are abandoned and weary?
“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest”:
+ Do you consider yourself a labourer or worker in the Lord’s field?
+ Do you pray that the Lord will send labourers into his harvest?
“Go to the lost sheep of Israel”:
+ Do you care for those people who are alienated or who have never been in the Church?
Keep some of these phrases and some of these questions from today’s Gospel and meditate on them during the day.
