TUESDAY 8th JUNE 2021
Matthew 5, 13-16:
“You are the salt of the earth…. You are the light of the world”.
As followers of Jesus we have the mission to make him present in the here and now of history.
And we do that when we are burning lamps and not damp salt that has lost its taste.
Today’s world needs the light of the Gospel of Jesus.
And today’s world also needs the flavour of that Gospel.
You are light. You are salt.
May your light shine, may your light also give light and spread much light.
And may your experience of the Gospel of Jesus give flavour to all that needs life, joy, closeness and affection.
Today, try to be light and salt for all those around you and for all those you meet throughout the day.
