SATURDAY 7th JANUARY 2022
Matthew 4, 12-17.23-25:
“Jesus withdrew into Galilee…. And then he began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He went about all Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and proclaiming the Kingdom, healing the sick and infirmities of the people”.
The Christmas season is coming to an end and we return to the normality of our lives. Each of us withdraws to “our personal Galilee”: our jobs, our studies, our ordinary family life, our ordinary life of relationships with others….
Try to find Jesus there, in “your personal Galilee”. If you found him in Bethlehem as a child, you will also find him in your “ordinary Galilee”.
Do not cease to turn your life continually towards God and, as you go about “your Galilee”, go about proclaiming the Gospel and doing, like Jesus, all the good that is within your reach.
