Serving the Word: 6th September

Luke 6, 6-11:

“Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your arm.” He did so, and his arm was restored”.

We find Jesus always doing good, always rehabilitating the human person, which for him is the most important thing.

The dignity of the person is above all else, even above any regulation, because every rule must be aimed at the good of the person.

Today we see him healing on the Sabbath, a day on which it was totally forbidden to carry out any kind of activity.

Once again it is the power of his Word that works the miracle.

We all need to restore some part of our life that may be paralysed a little or a lot.

Put yourself in the presence of Jesus.

Take a few minutes to review your life. And notice those aspects that may be a little stagnant. We are in danger of becoming careless and paralysed in our life of faith.

And let Jesus with his powerful Word heal your “paralysis”.

Good day.
