Serving the Word: 5th September

MONDAY 5th SEPTEMBER 2022

Luke 6, 6-11:

“Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your arm.” He did so, and his arm was restored”.

We find Jesus always doing good, always rehabilitating the human person, which for him is the most important thing.

The dignity of the person is above all else, even above any rule, because every rule must be directed towards the good of the human being.

Today we see him healing on the Sabbath, a day on which it was totally forbidden to carry out any kind of activity.

Once again it is the power of his Word that works the miracle.

We all need to restore some part of our life that may be a little or more paralysed.

Put yourself in the presence of Jesus.

Take a few minutes to review your life, and notice those aspects of it.  Notice those aspects of your life that may be a bit paralysed. We are in danger of becoming careless and paralysed in our life of faith.

And let Jesus with his powerful Word heal your “paralysis”.

Good day.
