THURSDAY 5th MAY 2022
John 6, 44-51:
“I am the bread of life”.
Jesus continues to present himself today as the bread of life.
We need the material bread to nourish our bodies.
We need the bread of knowledge to nourish our minds.
And we need many other “breads” to live with quality and dignity.
All are necessary and I wish there were “bread” for all.
And we also need the bread of the spirit. Of that bread of life which is Jesus himself.
Without that bread, our spirit weakens and ends up dying and we become people who live at ground level without any transcendence.
Participate in the Eucharist.
Eat the bread of the body of Jesus.
He is given to you as food so that you may have life forever.
