Luke 4, 16-30:
“Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
What a good programme of life.
If you do not have a spiritual life project, today’s Gospel offers you a rule of life and a very concrete spiritual project.
Since your baptism, the Spirit of the Lord is upon you and that same Spirit consecrates you to God.
Keep today very strong in your heart the words that Jesus kept in his heart.
As they were for Him, they are also for you: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me. He has sent me to announce the Good News to the poor. To announce freedom to the captives. And to the blind, sight. To set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
This was Jesus’ rule of life and this is your best rule of life.
