SATURDAY 31st DECEMBER 2022
John 1, 1-18:
“In the Word there was life, and the life was the LIGHT of men. The LIGHT shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not receive it. The Word was the true LIGHT that enlightens every person”.
God becomes flesh! The Word becomes LIGHT. A new-born baby is the LIGHT of the world made into a babe and wrapped in swaddling clothes.
God is still LIGHT from the small, wrapped in swaddling clothes! During this Christmas season, discover the LIGHT wrapped in the swaddling clothes of sharing, forgiveness, closeness, affection, poverty, humility, joy …. Discover the LIGHT. Let yourself be illuminated by the LIGHT.
And be a light for others. We are visited by the Sun that is born of the Virgin Mary. Her light fills our earthen vessel with light.
