Serving the Word: 2nd November

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND

John 14, 1-6:
“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.

Today we celebrate the remembrance of all the faithful departed.
Those who have preceded us in the sign of faith and who have taught us to walk in truth and life.
Those of us who believe that they have gone to the Father through Jesus and who in one way or another have lived these words of St. Augustine:
“If you run astray, you advance uselessly. And what is worse, you walk only to tire yourself out and you walk in vain. Your mistake is greater the more you run off track.
Run, but run in the way of Christ, for He said, “I AM THE WAY.”
Run, knowing that you are running in a sure direction, for Christ himself added, “I AM THE TRUTH.
Run through Him, turn to Him and you will find LIFE.
It was precisely to make you run towards Jesus Christ that He came down to you.
You were far away, wandering in remote countries and with a weakness you could not move.
The doctor came down to you and approached you, who were sick, and the path was traced out in this valley of pilgrimage.
Walk therefore in that path which is Christ, and you shall be saved.”
Good day to you.
