Serving the Word: 29th March

MONDAY 29th MARCH 2021

John 12, 1-11:

“Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, genuine and costly, and anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume”.

Would that your life and mine might be like that perfume of spikenard, authentic and costly, that Mary of Bethany poured on the feet of Jesus!

A life that is poured daily into God and into others.

A life lived and spent in service and kneeling in affection at the feet of our brothers and sisters.

When we live life in this way, wherever we are, everything will be filled with the “fragrance of perfume”.

Try to “perfume” the Church and the world by giving the “perfume” of the best of yourself, of your best qualities, of everything that is part of you and that can enrich those around you.

May your heart during these days of Holy Week, and always, be filled with the best “perfume” and may you know how to “break yourself” to “perfume” all that is around you.

Good day.
