MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
Luke 9, 46-50:
“Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. The least of you is the most important”.
The disciples of Jesus continue with their fixation: they are very concerned about the first places, the leading role, being important as they understand it.
This is why Jesus once again gives them his lessons in humility and simplicity.
And he puts a child by their side, who in Jesus’ time was a person without rights and without any relevance.
Jesus makes it very clear who he is siding with: the smallest, the weakest, the one who needs it most.
Make sure that Jesus puts you at his side too, not because you are great, important or powerful, but because you are simple, humble and small.
Only in this way can you be at Jesus’ side.
Place also by your side, not the power, what is important in the eyes of this world, what is of worth according to human criteria.
Place by your side the small, the simple and the weak.
Good day.
