Serving the Word: 28th February

Matthew 6, 7-15:

“You pray like this: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”.

At the beginning of Lent, we said that one of its pillars is prayer.

It should be realised more frequently and more deeply.

Meditate and contemplate and recite today the words of the Lord’s Prayer.

It is the prayer that sums up the whole content of Christian prayer. Pause throughout the day meditating on it, contemplating it and praying it as often as you can and as often as you have the opportunity.

You will see how the words and teachings of Jesus will penetrate deeply into your heart.

Good day to you.
