Serving the Word: 26th October

TUESDAY 26th OCTOBER 2021

Luke 13:18-21:

“The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed… it is like yeast that a woman takes and puts it into three measures of flour until it all leavens.”

We go back to the little things. To the tiny mustard seeds and the little yeast in the middle of the dough.

To what you can hardly see but feel and notice when it is missing.

It is the small details, the little services, the smiles given, the hugs that truly express affection, a word of encouragement, blessing and comfort.

These small things are what build the Kingdom of God, because they are like that little bit of yeast that makes the whole dough ferment.

It is also like that small brick that is insignificant in the construction of a gigantic tower, but which is essential for the construction itself.

Ask the Lord to be that grain of mustard seed or that little bit of leaven wherever you are, so that through you the Kingdom of God may grow and spread.

Good day.
