Serving the Word: 26th August

WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST

Matthew 23:27-32:
“Outwardly you appear righteous, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and crime.”

Today, the “woe” of Jesus continues. They are addressed to the lawyers and Pharisees, throwing their hypocrisy in their faces.
You too continue today to examine your heart.
Put everything that dwells in it into the eyes and heart of God. We cannot hide anything from him.
Don’t be afraid, because his gaze is always that of a Father full of tenderness, forgiveness and mercy.
You will see yourself, perhaps, incoherent, with hypocritical parts in your life, with a lack of transparency in others.
Your Father’s gaze will fill you with his presence and he will make coherence, authenticity and transparency grow in your life and mine, and in everyone’s life.
God is light and in him there is no darkness.
Good day.
