Serving the Word: 25th October

TUESDAY 25th OCTOBER 2022

Luke 13, 18-21:

“The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed… it is like yeast that a woman takes and puts in three measures of flour until it leavens all over.”

We go back to the little things. To the tiny mustard seeds, to what you can hardly see but feel and notice when it is missing. It is the little things, the little services, the smiles given, the hugs that are real and that truly express affection, a word of encouragement, blessing and comfort.

These small things are what build the Kingdom of God because they are like that little bit of yeast that makes the dough ferment.

The Kingdom of God is also built with those small “bricks” that are insignificant in the construction of a gigantic tower, but which are essential for the construction itself.

Ask the Lord to be that grain of mustard seed or that little bit of leaven wherever you are, so that through you the Kingdom of God may grow.

Good day to you.
