Serving the Word: 25th January

Mark 16, 15-18:

“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to all creation”.

Jesus’ command to his apostles today is still valid for each and every one of us.

There are still many parts of the world and many corners of our geography where the Good News of Jesus has not yet reached. And Jesus is good news for each and every person.

It is often the case that in traditionally Christian places the Gospel of Jesus may be the most unknown.

Think, for example, of the world of young people, the world of the family, the world of the media, the world of politics, the world of finance… And in so many other worlds in need of the light of the Good News of Jesus.

Make this command of Jesus your own because it is also addressed to you. And proclaim the Gospel in the place, at the time and in the situation in which you find yourself and in which it has fallen to you to live.

Good day to you.
