Mark 10, 1-12:
“What God has joined together, let no man put asunder”.
The Pharisees look for loopholes to get out of the law of Moses. They always go along the path of strict legality for their own convenience.
As always, even today they resort to the law interpreted in a rigid and impersonal way.
Jesus always goes the other way. He always goes the way of mercy and love. And he makes it very clear that what comes from God is that the woman and the man who form a unit seek together the communion of life to which they are called.
We pray today for all families, for all marriages, and especially for those marriages and families that find it difficult to be faithful to their vocation of self-giving and love.
