TUESDAY 25 AUGUST
Matthew 23, 23-26:
“Cleanse the inside of the cup first, so it will be clean on the outside too.”
Today the Lord invites us to live from within. Not to do things for the sake of appearances, to present a good image, or to make a good impression.
Jesus wants us to go to the essential. And let this be what guides our being and our doing.
It is a good time to look once more inside ourselves and see if our actions spring from a sincere and merciful heart. We have to take great care with the content and substance of our actions so that we do not remain on the surface and in the packaging, however beautiful it may be.
Always recover your authenticity. Clean the cup of your life from the inside so that everything you do is clean inside and also outside.
