Serving the Word: 24th December

THURSDAY 24 DECEMBER 2020

Luke 1, 67-79:

“By the tender mercy of our God, the sun which rises from on high will visit us, to shine on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our steps on the path of peace.

God never forgets us. He visits his people continuously and constantly. He becomes man and saves us. He enlightens us and guides us on paths of peace.

With Jesus, the Sun that rises from above, new life comes to us.

God manifests himself as man to bring the world a message of peace and to open the gates of heaven for us.

Ask the Lord to live intensely these Christmas days and that His coming may comfort and strengthen those of us who wait for Him.

O Emmanuel, God with us, Saviour of the nations, hope of the peoples, come and set us free, Lord, do not delay. Come quickly, Lord. Come, Saviour.

Have a good Christmas Eve and don’t forget to pray to the Lord for all those people for whom Christmas Eve is not going to be so good.

Good day.
