Luke 8, 4-15
“The seed that fell on good soil are those who with a noble and generous heart listen to the word, keep it and bear fruit by persevering” (Luke 8, 4-15).
The sower went out to sow. Daily the Lord goes out to sow in the field of our hearts. And daily it is also good for us to think about what kind of soil his seed falls on.
Consider today what kind of soil your heart contains:
If it is trodden and hardened soil.
If stones are abundant in it.
If weeds grow in it so that they choke everything that sprouts in it.
And if, finally, it is good, well-fertilised soil in which every seed that is planted therein sprouts, grows and bears fruit.
Work to identify yourself with the end of the passage of this Gospel: “the good soil is those who with a noble and generous heart listen to the word, keep it and bear fruit by persevering”.
May you have a good planting today. May the seed of the Word fall in you and bear abundant fruit.
