Serving the Word: 23rd September

Luke 9, 18-22:

“And you, who do you say that I am?”.

We continue to ask ourselves the same question as yesterday.

A personal and direct question: “WHO IS JESUS FOR ME?

To be a Christian is not to have a set of beliefs, nor to follow a set of morals, nor to worship a certain way of life.

The Christian does not choose any of these.

What a Christian chooses and what a Christian follows is a person. And that person is Jesus Christ.

From the personal encounter with Jesus Christ derive beliefs, the practice of a certain morality and also the practice of a certain form of worship.

But, don’t forget, the first thing is your personal option for Jesus.

Ask the Lord today that he may be the one to give meaning to your steps, joy to your heart and hope to your life.

Ask him that you may truly feel that he is your Saviour.

Good day.
