Serving the Word: 21th October

WEDNESDAY 21 OCTOBER

Luke 12, 39-48:
“Understand that if the householder knew what time the thief was coming, he would not let him open a hole. Likewise you, be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

The calls of Jesus to watch and to be attentive to his visit continue.
He has put in our hands some gifts that are not to be kept but to be put in continuous and permanent exercise of service. We are servants who administer what is not ours but administer the part of the estate that our Lord has entrusted to us.
In this gospel, he is declared blessed and happy who is surprised by the Lord at work, putting all his effort into building this new order of things that Jesus came to establish.
Work today and always to carry out this commission from the Lord.
Strive to carry out your assignment.
May this blessing of Jesus be for you: “Blessed is the servant whom his master finds behaving like this when he comes. I assure you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions”.
Good day.
