Serving the Word: 19th October

WEDNESDAY 19th OCTOBER 2022

Luke 12, 39-48:

“Understand that if the master of the house knew at what hour the thief was coming, he would not let him break in. In the same way you must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Follow Jesus’ calls to be vigilant and attentive to his visit.

He has placed in our hands gifts that are not to be kept but to be put into a continuous and permanent exercise of service. We are servants who administer what is not ours, but we administer the part of the treasure that our Lord has entrusted to us.

In this Gospel, those who are caught by the Lord working, putting all their efforts and all their efforts into the construction of this new order of things that Jesus came to establish, are declared blessed and happy.

Work today and always to carry out this commission of the Lord.

Be committed to carry out his commission.

May this Beatitude of Jesus be for you: “Blessed is the servant whose master, on arrival, finds him so behaving. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions”.

Good day to you.
