Serving the Word: 19th March

FRIDAY 19th MARCH 2021

Matthew 1:16,18-21,24a:

“When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him.”

In the midst of the Lenten desert we celebrate today the Solemnity of St. Joseph, husband of the Virgin Mary.

Joseph teaches us to let ourselves be led by God.

A man of deep faith, he accepted the Lord’s plans, renouncing his own.

He knew how to change his life project for the plan that God was asking of him.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and revealed to him that he would be the legal father of the child that Mary carried in her womb, he allowed himself to be led by God.

He believed the word of the Lord and did as the angel had commanded him.

Pray today with St Joseph and ask him for his deep and intense faith.

Ask also to know how to change your project when God asks you to do so.

And finally ask for the holiness of this just and holy man. Congratulations to all the Josephs, Josephines, and Joes.

Good day.
